Sports massage involves various massage techniques to treat any problem areas in the muscles to assist with injury repair, chronic pain or discomfort, or it can be applied purely as a maintenance treatment. The aim is to restore function to the body and bring it back to a pain-free state.
This type of massage will help relieve musculoskeletal pain, release excessive muscle tension, improve muscle imbalances and help to speed up the healing process.
How to prepare for your sports massage:
Dress to your level of comfort. If you wish to take everything off that’s fine, or if you wish to leave your shorts / leggings on and a strappy top that’s equally fine.
If you are a new client we will start by completing a consultation and discuss any issues that are bothering you and then decide upon the treatment plan for the massage.
